Nicole Kidman has been replaced by Amelie and Da Vinci Code star Audrey Tautou as the new face of Chanel’s famous No.5 perfume. In a deal rumoured to be worth around $4.3 million, the 29-year-old actress will take over in TV and glossy magazine advertising for the iconic fragrance. The french actress will also play fashion visionary Coco Chanel in a new French movie shot by french director, Anne Fontaine and shooting will start in early 2008.

“I wanted to follow the interior path of this young woman who was poor, without education, but who had an uncommon personality that was ahead of her time,” Fontaine.
