FYI: Due to strict security they did not allow cameras into the venue but as you can see that didn’t phase us! Also, we apologize for some heavy movements while recording, we were feeling ourselves! Thanks and Enjoy!
The day started off with a massive amount of fans bombarding the lines to get closer to the entryway. With 2-3 lines formed for less confusion and organization we managed to make our way to the first line, which got first picks for seating and ground floor. After the security’s metal detectors went off they made everyone in line wait for another hour before opening up entry. Once we made our way in, vendors from left to right displaying goodies and “stronger glasses” for purchase (which we passed up without a second thought) and alcohol to keep everyone feeling loose before the big show.
Our first location was right up front with a bunch of anxious avid listeners and random blunts being passed around to help pass the time. First to hit the stage and open the night was G1 accompanied by TLC (not the female group) and followed by Consequence. Performing a few of his new tracks and pumping the crowd up, we’re a bit disappointed he didn’t do his hit single “Feel this way” featuring John Legend. Now this is when the party starts. As vibrant as he could ever be, Lupe Fiasco rocked out with “Superstar” ft. Matthew Santos, “Paris, Tokyo”, “Daydream”, “Hip Hop Saved My Life” ft. Nikki Jean and a few other hot singles.
After a 10-minute break the crowd got even more hectic and we’re packed in like sardines! N.E.R.D hit the stage and crowd surfers are up and floating! Performing hit tracks “Brains”, “She wants to move”, “Lap dance”, “Rock Star “and” Everyone Nose”. Right before they finished their performance Lil Jon, the Eastside Boys and Lupe (dressed up as Darth Vader) got crunked on stage for N.E.R.D finale.
We all got a bit impatient due to the long wait for Kanye to hit the stage, we took a breather and posted before lift off. We had a feel of being inside Mr. West’s’ spaceship and cruising the galaxy as he gave us continuous heat. Performing some tracks from his recent album “Graduation“, singles “Good Morning”, “Stronger”, “Flashing Lights”, “Homecoming” and ” Can’t tell me nothing”. Ye also did a few hits from his first and second album and a tribute song for his mom “Hey Mama” who passed away earlier this year. At the end of the show we’re handed little “Thank You and You’re Welcome” booklets presented by Kanye and J. Sakiya Sandifer which consist of “personal proverbs” for those on the go.

To conclude this wrap up, all we can say is INSANE!! Words cannot describe this experience - we had an idea of what we’re getting ourselves into but this by far exceeded our expectations! You’ve just got to experience it for yourselves to really know.
