Comme des Garcons and Louis Vuitton - Preview

As we mentioned in a previous post about Comme des Garcons new collaboration with Louis Vuitton, we’ve got an exclusive preview of the collection from the latest issue in WWD Japan. Looks like they’re sticking to the classic monogram prints with various shapes and sizes. Not sure if I’m feeling the multiple handles on the speedy but definitely like the monogram keychains (which looks like they’re shaped as dunny dolls) linked to the Papillon handbag. Slated to release some time in September, we’ll keep you updated on this collection.

Comme des Garcons will hold their latest exhibition at Hong King retailer I.T. The show will be open to the public and you can expect this to be a really great show. Opening reception will begin July 16th from 7:30 to 10:30pm. The exhibit will be open from July 16th - September 30th at Beijing’s Art Zone.

This is a great day in fashion, Comme des Garcons and Louis Vuitton are planning to partner up on a upcoming project. The two will open a joint store in Tokyo sometime in September. The Comme des Garçons store will be completely remodeled by Kawakubo with six one-off bags and special Kawakubo Louis Vuitton monogram pattern all available for purchase at the location.
“Marc Jacobs admired Comme des Garçons and was an enthusiastic supporter of the idea of a joint venture” said Carcelle.
