Benny Gold and New Era drew inspired from a classic movie by the talented John Singleton, Boyz in the Hood. The fitted hat is based off of Ice Cube’s character, Dough Boy, flipping the Detroit “D” logo and added his own personal feel to it. The cap is nuts, a def west coast must have. Commonwealth has released some classic, legendary fitted hats over the years. For their latest, two “Wool” New Era fitted hats were inspired by the berets worn by Oakland California’s Black Panther Party and New York’s Guardian Angels. The fitted caps feature a felt wool crown in black or red, and a black leather bill. The black on black fitted is nuts, definitely a must have item.
