Merely days following the release of her newest single “Bow Down/I Been On,” the honorable Queen Bey has shocked us with yet another big announcement that is sure to send fashionistas worldwide into a complete and utter frenzy.

Revealing earlier today that she will act as the official face of H&M‘s Summer 2013 Campaign, the revered pop icon will appear in a series of print ads and commercials to help promote the Swedish retail giant’s fresh, seasonal line. Shot in The Bahamas by both Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinodh Matadin, this highly anticipated collaboration will showcase the Grammy-award winning artist as she models the street savvy brand’s newest items while strutting her stuff across the beaches of Nassau. An accompanying commercial directed by Jonas Akerlund will also appear in the promotion and feature Bey’s hottest upcoming track, “Standing on the Sun.”

Entitled “Beyoncé as Mrs. Carter in H&M,” this flirty summer series will boast a variety of fun, but affordable swim pieces and beach ensembles designed for the everyday diva. Although the initial media push is scheduled for premiere on April 15 to coincide with the launch of Bey’s 2013 world tour, “The Mrs. Carter Show,” look for the actual collection to drop in stores come May.
